Wasping from Singapore to Thailand - Part 1: Ipoh, Hatyai, Don Sak

August 3 rd , Day 1 Singapore to Ipoh, 560km Finally, the day has arrived for our 3 weeks road trip! Sharon, Ah Weng and I met up at 4.30am in the morning. We had our breakfast together and set off from JB Shell Petrol Station at 6am. Our $5 headlight from scrapyard was put to test before the sun rose. It was good, lit up the road very well. Our travelling speed was 80 to 90km/h. We could go a bit faster but no rush, stressing the engine was the last thing we want. The target was to arrive in Ipoh to rest for the night. If we could not make it there before sunset, we will drop by the nearest town or sleep in the petrol station.
